Fee Schedule Specialist

Position Overview

Managed Care Network is seeking a remote Fee Schedule Specialist with hands on bill review experience for New York State workers' compensation and auto insurance. You will keep payer side billing accurate, compliant, and well documented across fee schedules and coding rules. The right candidate is detail oriented, thrives in a process driven setting, and communicates clearly with payers, providers, and teammates.

This role balances analytical review with collaboration. You will investigate denials and appeals, confirm correct coding, and recommend adjustments that protect compliance and reimbursement integrity. Success looks like cleaner claims, faster resolution, and confident partners on both the payer and provider side.

What you will do

  • Review and price medical bills for NYS workers' comp and auto claims against current fee schedules and billing regulations

  • Validate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier usage; flag and correct coding or documentation gaps

  • Communicate with insurance partners to resolve denials, appeals, and discrepancies

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify coding, obtain missing documentation, and ensure proper submission

  • Track policy and regulatory updates; translate changes into actionable guidance for the team

  • Proven bill review experience for workers' comp and auto insurance on the payer side

  • Strong command of NYS fee schedules, payer policies, and related compliance rules

  • Proficiency with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding; ability to spot variances quickly

  • Analytical problem solver who can explain findings to technical and non technical audiences

Tools and experience

  • 2+ years of medical billing or bill review experience required

  • 1+ year with Strataware or Conduent required; familiarity with other payer billing platforms is helpful

  • Experience with payer side fee scheduling software and standard office tools (Excel, Outlook)

Schedule, location, and compensation

  • Remote role based in the United States; collaborate with teams in Eastern Time

  • Full time, day shift, Monday through Friday
